Canada continues to struggle with historic rates of fatal and non-fatal drug overdoses during the COVID-19 outbreak. The pandemic is worsening the overdose crisis in many communities due to a more toxic illegal supply, increased feelings of isolation, stress and anxiety, and limited availability or accessibility of services for people who use drugs.
